Project Overview

Parcelytics provide their SMB customers visibility into their shipping spend, package statuses, surcharge information, warehouse location modeling, and overall optimal efficiency planning. An initial version of this was already set up, however the team needed to replace their existing embedded analytics solution, VerbData, as it had been acquired and became an internal tool for its new parent company.

How Parcelytics chose Embeddable

Before they discovered Embeddable, the team had explored a wide range of embedded analytics tools and weren't satisfied with the options they could find: :

• Plotly - "makes it hard for data and engineering to work together"
• Preset/Metabase - "all very limited and clunky with no caching layer"
• Superset - "building is great, but it’s not possible to modify visualizations"
• Explo - "limitations on canvas control and scalability concerns"

Ultimately, the team elected to go with Embeddable for three main reasons:

• Ease of using Embeddable to build and embed dashboards
• Flexibility and control over the user experience in their application
• Support and customer experience from the Embeddable team
