Project Overview

Ricardo and the team at Optiply were looking to move away from their old custom-built analytics experience, which was built with Apache ECharts and required constant developer intervention.

The team used Embeddable to build a comprehensive supply chain and inventory analytics dashboard that tracks mission-critical KPIs like service levels, turn-over time, and inventory growth.

We asked Ricardo to briefly outline how choosing Embeddable has impacted Optiply's business.

"The transition to Embeddable has fundamentally shifted our engineering focus from maintenance to innovation. By moving away from a manual, developer-heavy process of managing custom backend endpoints and eCharts formatting, we have seen a significant transformation in our operational efficiency."

He then went on to highlight four key business outcomes:

How Optiply chose Embeddable

Richard shared that they had a long journey to finding the right embedded analytics tool for the job:

"Finding the right analytics partner was a long road for Optiply; we had investigated several platforms and even signed with another provider before realizing it wasn't the right fit."

His team decided that Embeddable was the perfect fit for their needs - here's what he had to say about the decision:

"We chose Embeddable over other market alternatives primarily due to its seamless ease of implementation and native support for Angular, which allowed us to integrate high-quality analytics without fighting against our existing frontend framework. Crucially, the platform’s integrated cache layer for data was a game-changer; it solved our performance concerns by ensuring fast load times for complex supply chain metrics—like inventory growth and service levels—without putting a constant, heavy load on our primary database. This combination of developer-friendly integration and robust data architecture gave us a 'best of both worlds' solution that we couldn't find in more rigid or less performant tools."

At the time that Optiply started working with Embeddable in mid-2024, the product was in Beta; but has since moved into general availability. Here's what Ricardo had to say about the development of the solution over that time:
